Flavor Buffet: 9/25/2020

Hello and happy Friday!

While the weather this week was a little back and forth (cool mornings, very warm afternoons), my attitude about fall arriving does not waver. I’m so glad it’s here! I’m all-in for long sleeves, chilly walks, and the foliage to appear. Not to mention the food! Fall flavors are some of the best and this week’s Buffet has a great assortment of recipes (and much more) perfect for this time of year.

I hope you have a fun weekend; it’s going to be beautiful.

COOK

Here is our original recipe collection. Take a look!

And here are a few recipes I found this week that I’ve bookmarked…

I haven’t baked in a while, which is a shame, so I need to fix that! How about these toasted sesame cookies?

One of the best ways to include veggies in your meals during the winter is to roast them! I’ll be making this oven roasted cauliflower with tahini sauce on repeat, I’m sure. Tip: add that roasted cauliflower to pasta - it’s delicious!

Taco Bell has been out of my life since I was a teenager, which is fine by me, but this recipe for a gluten free crunch-wrap supreme looks too good to be true! Bonus: this is from my good friend Jen’s awesome GF food blog. :)

I’m so glad we stocked up on chickpeas recently because I would love to make this Authentic Lebanese Falafel over the weekend. Yum!

DINE

Not sure where you’ll be going this weekend? Here are some great options…

The gluten free doughnuts from Kane’s are absurdly delicious. There are 12(!!) varieties so I’d recommend trying a few - or all - next time you visit. Better yet? They’re now available to be shipped!

We’ve been heading to Twist Bakery Cafe on weekends for outdoor, socially-distant brunch and, per usual, it never disappoints. I love the bacon cheddar scones - hot from the oven!

The warm weather this week has me craving a summer treat - fried clams! I think a trip to J.T. Farnham’s is in our future - especially before they close for the season. Reminder: it’s cash only.

Never one to turn down an email with a discount, I ordered my first piece from Everlane this week. It’s a chunky-knit black cardigan and I’m hoping it’s as useful, comfy, and stylish as I anticipate.

With the cold weather fast-approaching, I decided it was time to add this hyaluronic acid serum into my skincare routine (I tried a free sample and loved it). I’ve read that it’s best to use during cold weather and that it does wonders for your complexion. Fingers crossed!

Making our favorite restaurant food at home is always a dinnertime highlight. Order Myers+Chang at Home and then you too can have scrumptious dishes from this awesome restaurant right in your own kitchen! Alternatively, you can order takeout from the restaurant itself - it’s fabulous!

Wear a mask! I’d strongly recommend ordering an assortment from Vistaprint. I’ve been wearing them daily and find that they’re comfortable, easy to wash, and very breathable (while being correctly protective).

Enjoy!
