That Friday joy feeling. Happiest on “her” shearling rug.

Hello! Happy Friday.

November has arrived, the Thanksgiving countdown has begun, and the overall “rush” of the holiday season is suddenly all around us. And while I’m not quite ready to get going on my gift list, I do have my eye on all of the guides that are everywhere (already).

There’s some good stuff out there, folks, so if you’re even remotely concerned about shipping delays and the supply chain issues we’re hearing about daily, then I’d recommend getting a head-start on your own holiday shopping. Too soon? Maybe. But maybe not?

It’s the busiest time of year so I hope you find this week’s Buffet helpful and perhaps something to read when you need a moment, or two, to relax. Enjoy!

READ

Is anyone out there going to see the movie Spencer? Kristen Stewart does an incredible job portraying the late Princess Diana in the role so I hear…

A diamond ring for a toddler seems ridiculous to me.

Everyone I know is receiving magnet tape as a gift this year. Genius!

Not sure how much I’d love beans and buttered leeks, but I’m willing to give it a try!

My current eye cream won’t last forever, so I’m saving this list for when I need to find a new brand to try.

Winter is near and perhaps you need a new (or another?) jacket. I’m keeping my eye on a few of the styles in this roundup of coats for under $300 that are also winter-weather-appropriate.

Restaurants in NYC are keeping their fingers crossed for a “blockbuster” Thanksgiving.

COOK

Baked French Onion Meatballs - an excellent recipe for the GF baguette that’s in the freezer.

Mascarpone Mashed Potatoes - yes, please!

Winter Squash and Kale Pasta with Pecan Breadcrumbs - strongly considering making this over the weekend or next week.

Cheesy Crispy Cauliflower Gratin - decadent and divine (but meatless), I think we need to make it…

Fall Bliss Salad - something lighter! This would be great to keep on the weeknight rotation for the busy weeks ahead.

Chipotle Braised Chicken and Rice - would love this for dinner tonight. Yum!

Fresh Crab Nachos - elevate your football-watching food offerings with this scrumptious-looking platter.

WATCH

Ghosts - strongly recommend this funny half-hour sitcom on CBS. Way better than expected and amusing every single week!

The Morning Show - very much looking forward to watching the latest episode on Apple TV+ of season two later tonight.

Maid - I’ve mentioned it before, but still haven’t begun watching this Netflix series (mini series?). Why am I nervous? I hear it’s so good, but not exactly uplifting (which is fine). I guess I need to be in the right mood for that combo…

SHOP

Admittedly, I love shopping all year long so curating this section each week is my favorite. Now with holiday gifting in mind, I’m finding it even more fun to find gifts for everyone on your list. I’ll be sharing new gift ideas weekly through the entirety of the season!

Loving this Patagonia half-zip pullover - the tough part would be picking a color!

Strongly considering this pair of Sorel pull-on boots for the coldest days (and snow). Join Backcountry for 20% off one full-price item!

Sephora’s Holiday Savings Event has began today for Insiders! Too many good products to list, but I highly recommend the Ilia Limitless Lash Mascara and anything from Biossance .

You can’t go wrong with cashmere. The J.Crew Cashmere classic-fit crewneck sweater would be an awesome gift. So many colors to choose from (love the pale straw and heather natural) and the price is pretty reasonable given the quality.

Definitely an investment (or a very generous gift), this Canada Goose Cypress Down Jacket is on my mind for its shorter length and minimalist, chic (but still warm) style.

Over in tech-land, I have thoroughly enjoyed my Apple Watch over the years. However, mine is a series 2 and the snazzy Apple Watch Series 7 just became available. May be time for an upgrade…

Have a great weekend and enjoy!

Mollie
