Flavor Buffet: 1/14/2022

Fries for Friday and the weekend. Love the ones at The Bancroft.

Hello! Happy Friday.

While the snow from last week has melted, we’re in for a wicked-cold weekend here in New England so if you’re also in this area…please stay warm this weekend! Wear all of the layers, make hot cocoa, and watch some good TV. Well, that’s my plan at least. ;)

January is off and running, which means the Buffet gets right to the point. No more chit chat, let’s get to it. No one has time to dawdle.

Have a great weekend!

“Diet Food” is one of the worst phrases. But it doesn’t seem to be going away.

So an NFT restaurant is coming to New York. What?

We're not doing a “dry January” around here, but for those who are, I respect your choice and present to you this handy collection of mocktails.

The Oscars are definitely happening this year; here’s a guide to the “sad mom” (potential) nominees.

COOK

Saucy Tofu Noodles - planning this one for a meatless night next week.

Enfrijoladas - this looks delicious and I think it’s perfect for the cold weather this weekend.

Chipotle Chicken Nachos with Jalapeno Yogurt - another excellent option for a divine Saturday night (while watching playoff football) dinner.

Lemon-Garlic Kale Salad - featured this in a recent newsletter and here’s the recipe! One of my favorites.

Browned Butter Crispy Rice Treats - it’s about time I made this incredible treat again. They’re so, so good.

WATCH

And Just Like That…how does this show get better the closer we get to the last episode? That doesn’t seem fair. Regardless, it’s finally found it’s stride.

Million Dollar Listing LA - fluff TV that’s just mindless and I only watch it for the (pretty fabulous) home tours.

The Wonder Years - I’m really enjoying the reboot (still set in the 1960s) of this classic.

This is Us - the final season is really delivering and this week’s episode was great.

SHOP

Products I own and am currently enjoying, using, or wearing often.

Fellow Stagg EKG Kettle - this chic kettle has thoroughly improved the coffee-making process each day and looks so snazzy on the counter.

Feetures Ultra Light No Show Tab Socks - my go-to for everyday socks that are super comfy with all sneakers.

Vuori Alpine Sherpa Jacket - I love wearing this jacket around the house for an extra-cozy layer or out and about when the temp goes above freezing.

Laura Mercier Pure Canvas Hydrating Primer - I’ve gotten back into the habit of layering a primer underneath any (minimal) makeup I put on and this option works really well. The hydration aspect is key!

Fresh Sugar Lip Balm - One of my favorite products year-round, but especially during the coldest months. I personally prefer it over standard Chapstick! And I love that it includes SPF. ;)

Enjoy!

Mollie
