Flavor Buffet: 1/7/2022

Love this chocolate! Received it as a gift and have really enjoyed every bite.

Hello! Happy Friday. We’re currently amidst the first snowstorm of the season here in the northeast and wow, there’s a lot of snow on the ground already. I have a feeling we’ll be heading out to shovel in a few hours and the process won’t be quick. It looks to be fluffy snow, which is helpful, but there’s a lot… And that’s my weather report!

Moving on, today’s Buffet is the first of the new year! I hope you had a great holiday and have been settling in well to 2022. It has been a packed week around here so I’m looking forward to a low-key weekend filled with snowy walks, good food, and some low-effort TV (including the Patriots game on Sunday).

Here’s to 2022 and all that’s new. Let’s have a great one!

Watch

Emily in Paris season two - this entertaining-enough show finally got a lot better by the end of the second season. I’d give it a watch if you haven’t yet! (Netflix)

And Just Like That… - thankfully improving each week! The latest episode was directed by Cynthia Nixon, which was pretty cool. I finally feel like the characters are back and in a somewhat-nostalgic groove. Too bad it took half the season to get there. (HBO Max)

Abbott Elementary - one of the funniest network shows (ABC) I’ve seen in a while. Very entertaining!

American Auto - one more network show (NBC) which is laugh-out-loud funny and really well done. Highly recommend!

Shop

Putting a pause on the ‘ol credit card so here are some items I’m currently enjoying/using/wearing frequently.

Kiehl’s Micro-Dose Anti-Aging Retinol Serum - part of my nighttime skincare routine which I truly think is making a difference. I use it almost every night of the week and it has never irritated my skin.

Biossance Omega Repair Cream - another part of my nighttime routine, I love this thicker moisturizer to layer over serums etc. I’ll also use it during the day if the weather is especially chilly.

Moglea notebooks - taking notes during meetings is way more fun when using chic materials. Love this Iowa-based company that hand-paints every product.

Smartwool Everyday Cable Crew socks - no surprise that these are fantastic for cold days and wearing with any type of winter footwear. Love them with boots!

Madewell Petite Perfect Vintage Denim - I received a few inquiries about “great jeans” and I must admit this is one of my most-worn pairs (petite length for me). This style has less stretch, and a higher rise, so I went up one size from my usual at Madewell.

Alex Mill Camil Cable Sweater - one of my favorites for the frigid days that’s so comfy and warm without sacrificing style.

Have a great weekend and cheers to 2022!

Mollie
