Flavor Buffet: 12/4/2020

IMG_7834.jpeg

It’s snowing heavily as I finish up this Buffet, and I am fondly missing yesterday’s spring-like afternoon. Shorts for my midday walk?! I’ll take it. It was great. As much as I enjoy the cold and layering up for outdoor adventures, a brief stint of warmth is never turned away.

It immediately makes me remember our trip to Arizona two years ago this week; what a treat it was to have warm sunshine for days during December (and the locals thought it was cold!).

Enough about the weather - apparently a favorite topic of mine. We’re moving right along in this final month of 2020 and well, that’s good! I’m psyched for the end of the year and I have a lot of hope for goodness in 2021.

For now, let’s get to the Buffet and perhaps begin some holiday shopping - find the brand-new Gift Guide, below!

Have a great weekend! Please wear a mask.

Ordering gifts online is one thing. Ordering gifts online from shops that offer high-quality gift wrap is another story. ;)

If you’re unfamiliar, John Mulaney is one of the funniest comedians out there (I think). Apparently one of his jokes told while hosting SNL this year wasn’t as funny for those (read: the Secret Service) watching.

They’re not gluten free, but Lady Gaga Oreos are coming in January. Another positive to start the year! FYI - gluten free Oreos are coming to shelves in January as well (time for the happy dance).

As someone who watched every episode of Frasier during the beginning of quarantine (those were the days), I fully agree with this article.

This sounds like a delicious white bean soup. Perfect for lunch, dinner, or whenever.

COOK

Chanukah begins next week! I think we should try making these vegan leek latkes.

While we’re planning, I’m saving this corn and crab beignets recipe for New Year’s Eve. ;)

My next baking project should be these pretzel and potato chip moon pies.

I think we will be making this creamy chicken and wild rice soup next week!

DINE - AT HOME!

This holiday season , please consider ordering takeout/delivery from a local restaurant. This industry needs our support more than ever right now. We’re planning to order from a different local spot once each week to help out. Another great idea? Buy gift cards! A restaurant gift card is a great gift and is a terrific surprise.

Find my guide to takeout, right here.

SHOP

The Gluten Free Mollie D 2020 Holiday Gift Guide is right here! I hope you enjoy it.

The Shop section this month (AKA the wish list) will feature small, independent businesses that offer a terrific array of gifts.

This holiday candle called “Sweater Weather.” The title alone has me adding it to my wish list.

Everyone can benefit from a reusable glass water bottle. Hydrate!

I love this set of champagne coupe stemware - this color “amber smoke” is beautiful!

This is a beautiful striped cashmere sweater.

I love this simple, chic sweater as well.

Really fun letterpress coasters - a great gift for all of us.

Handmade soap with the scent “Winter Morning.” Love it.

Who wouldn’t enjoy a set of hand-painted note cards? So unique and thoughtful.

Enjoy!

Mollie
