Happy Friday!

The sun is shining, holiday cheer is in the air, we’re wearing masks, and it’s time for the new Flavor Buffet! Sounds about right, don’t you think? I know this holiday season is unlike any other, but I am determined to make it as “normal” as possible despite the major (temporary) changes. There are good things on the horizon so let’s do our part and get to the good stuff, together.

In the meantime, let me offer this new Buffet which has ideas for Chanukah, a delicious kale Caesar salad, mini cheesecakes we all must bake, and a handful of unique gifts (my shopping isn’t done) from small businesses.

Happy Holidays! Please wear a mask.

READ

I always enjoy the Beauty Uniform series on Cup of Jo. This recent interview was great- and I learned about a few new products!

Perhaps we should all be ordering The Golden Girls Cookbook. If not necessarily for the recipes, but for the experience of reading through it and being transported to another time.

How many of these shows have you watched from the Best TV Shows of 2020? Somewhat related, my fingers are crossed that Succession and Mrs. Maisel will eventually return…

Hesitant to make a giant batch of latkes for Chanukah? Try making this instead.

Another great, mindless (but informative) column to read is What (insert celebrity name) Can’t Live Without over on The Strategist. This week they spoke with Jennifer Hudson. Celebrities, they shop, just like us!

COOK

The holiday season is the best reason right now to make this cheesy potato gratin. OMG.

Amidst the holiday indulgences, let’s include some leafy greens. This kale Caesar salad is calling my name.

Why yes, I do need to make these mini turtle cheesecakes. So cute!

Adding this to a future meal plan: bacon and broccoli garlic fried rice. Why haven’t we added bacon to fried rice before?

DINE OUT - AT HOME!

SHOP

The Shop section this month is featuring gift ideas from small businesses. Aren’t they the best? I love to support independent shops - they often have the most unique gifts! Here is my primary 2020 Holiday Gift Guide as well featuring products I own, love, and highly recommend. Happy shopping!

For those who are always cold, or love a long walk in the depths of winter, buy them a Neckie so their neck is kept safe from the elements.

For the ski enthusiast who wants to show their appreciation everywhere they go - a ski tote!

I love these unique, handmade plates.

An everyday cotton bag (with a great phrase) will always be a thoughtful gift!

For your friend that loves a good ‘ol fashioned high five, this candle is perfect.

You can never have too many striped shirts. This one looks so comfy!

How pretty is this glass cloche to store matches? Love it.

Enjoy!
