Flavor Buffet: 7/15/2022

Hydrangeas in our yard - lovely!

Hello! Happy Friday. We’ve arrived at the end of the week and it feels good! Doesn’t hurt that it’s a gorgeous sunny (low-humidity) day, either.

Let’s move on from last week as I had plans to publish this Buffet and it just didn’t happen. Whoops! Life and work are busy and for that reason the blog doesn’t always land at the top of my to do list which is something I’ve come to accept even more. Progress!

In others news, our anniversary is at the end of the month and I’m still debating between several restaurants and activities. Decisions, decisions…

Now, let’s get to this week’s Buffet and settle in for a summery weekend ahead.

Highly recommend the mussels at Sweet Basil in Needham, MA. :)

The Emmy Nominations are out! Proud to say I’ve actually watched several of the ones (repeatedly) nominated.

Speaking of TV, Succession is back and filming season four! Finally…

We’re midway through The Bear (FX on Hulu) and it’s not exactly relaxing. Restaurant shows vary a lot when it comes to an accurate portrayal of stress-at-work.

Here is a lot of ice cream. Now I want a sundae.

Whoah. That rent is high.

I have mixed feelings about this tater tots cake. Thoughts?

Would love to try this Coquito recipe even if all of the comments say to leave out the eggs. Sounds delicious to me!

Garlic butter broccoli would be a great dish to go alongside something grilled (shrimp? chicken? steak?) for dinner. Yum.

A steak salad bowl sounds pretty incredible for a hot summer night. Oh wait, that’s every night. ;)

While we’re talking salad, I think we need to make this Buffalo Ranch Pretzel Chicken Caesar Salad immediately.

On a Caesar kick and am intrigued by this Spicy Caesar Potato Salad. Looks good!

Amy Schumer’s Dream Dinner Party. Enjoy!

One more about The Bear (and toxic restaurant culture) because we have a few episodes left and I can’t wait to see how the season unfolds.

As I continue to revise my skincare lineup (less is more in this case), I’m considering a re-order of the Vintner’s Daughter serum and essence duo which I really liked a few years ago… stay tuned!

And finally, do yourself a favor and consider ordering AYR’s The Staycation Short. One of the comfiest pieces I’ve worn all summer! PS: their Final Sale section has great items, too!

Have a wonderful weekend and please make sure to relax, unwind, and breathe.

Mollie

And if you’re craving fried seafood in the sunshine, head to Woodman’s in Essex!
