Everything you need to know to start composting. This is not holiday-related, but still very important!

Back to basics holiday edition: “What is Chocolate?” Let’s learn, shall we?

I love this very unique gift guide from the healthyish editor, Amanda Shapiro. Not only are her suggested gift ideas great, but the descriptions are a gift all their own. Oh, how I will always treasure great, fun writing.

Cook

Green Minestrone with Lime-Arugula Meatballs - well this sounds interesting! Flavors I wouldn’t anticipate being together come together in this new (for me) take on minestrone soup and my favorite meatballs.

Obscenely Chocolatey Chocolate Cookies - who am I to question another recipe featuring lots and lots of chocolate? These are now added to my baking list. Maybe they’ll get into the oven this weekend. ;)

Walnut Sticky Buns - these are definitely a goal recipe for the new year as I haven’t made sticky bun dough yet. However, I may get to squeeze them in during the holidays which would be very exciting. And delicious.

Dine

LEGAL SEA FOODS - one of my favorites for gluten free fried seafood! The fried clams and seared tuna are not to be missed. It’s a Boston staple with numerous locations - make sure to visit no matter the time of year!

LONE STAR TACO BAR - our favorite for tacos, margaritas, and more. We used to live across the street which was just a little too close. We went several times each week! Don’t miss the carnitas taco; it’s just the best.

LOVE AT FIRST BITE THAI KITCHEN AND BAR - travel to the ‘burbs for this quaint, cozy Thai restaurant with fun cocktails and delicious dishes. Plenty of gluten free options that are clearly marked; we often order the mango curry and shrimp pad Thai.
