It’s Friday! It’s moving day! Hooray!

I feel like I’ve been talking about our big move for a while (I know, I’m sorry), but it’s just so darn exciting that the day has finally arrived. So while we’re finishing packing the boxes and helping the movers (pointing at my couch counts as helping, right?), I’d like to share with you this joyful Buffet. Today’s roundup is filled with good reads, recipes, and more for the weekend.

It’s going to be a cold one here in the northeast so you may as well settle in with comfy pants, some delicious takeout, and get reading. Alternatively, there are several great recipes below so cooking is highly encouraged. And shopping. Online shopping is very much still in-style. ;)

I can’t wait to catch up with you once the move is done. Then the decor can begin. ;)

Have a great weekend! Please wear a mask.

My goodness the fashion at the Inauguration was fabulous. You know I love a great coat. ;)

Yoga studios have gone online and now you can “om” from your living room, any time. Even this skeptic (hi, it’s me) joined the bandwagon and has a mat next to the couch.

Did you see Bernie’s mittens yesterday? An iconic look was (re) born.

This is a fun discussion about one of my favorite movies. I can’t believe it came out so long ago…

A helpful review of store-bought curry paste. We use it often!

Save this article: how to cook the best tempura at home. I cannot wait.

COOK

What should we cook first in our new kitchen!? Here are some meals I’m considering…

I’d love to make (and eat) these rustic shrimp toasts after a day of unpacking.

Just need to use GF noodles (not wheat) and this tomato and egg drop noodle soup would be great for a cold night.

Strongly considering poblano skillet enchiladas for Saturday night. And some champagne. :)

Constantly craving risotto and this one featuring cherry tomatoes sounds excellent.

We’ve made this egg roll in a bowl several times. It’s an easy, delicious dinner that’s perfect for any night of the week.

DINE

We cooked our last meal in the apartment last night! And while we’re going to get back to cooking as quickly as possible, I know a few nights of takeout are in our future. Here’s my current takeout guide, which includes our favorite spots for car picnics. Honestly, it’s not that hard to eat cake in the car. ;)

Also, speaking of food-we-didn’t-make, I finally found the gluten free Oreos! OMG. They are spectacular and as delicious as I’d hoped. They taste like a regular Oreo and now all of my packaged-cookie dreams have come true. I will now always have a few bags in the pantry. You know, just in case. They are divine with a cold glass of milk.

I found them at a local Stop&Shop, but I have heard from others that they are also available at CVS, Walmart, and other grocery stores. I hope you find them soon!

SHOP

I’ve been researching home decor (OK, obsessively researching) for the last few weeks and I’ve learned that there are endless options for everything I’m looking to buy for our house. I’m not sure how I’ll ever be able to make a decision (could you help me?), but here’s where I’ve been browsing for light fixtures, rugs, throw pillows, seat cushions, and much more.

Of note, I did buy a floor-sample bookcase for my office. I can’t wait to set it up.
