Poll of the Day! January, week two.

Here are the results of the week’s polls! Most recent is at the top.

Thank you so much for participating in this poll! An overwhelming number of you voted, and majority did select Reuben, which was good, since that’s what we made last night! Our first bread-baking was a big success and you’ll get to read all about it in the debut of Mollie Bakes...! Next up, I need to plan my avocado toast selections... :)

What a delight to see these results! While we are humbled to know so many of you would be excited to see us cooking at home, I have to admit we aren’t going to be moving. Not any time soona at least. We did think about it and did visit a few options, but overall, I think it’s best we stay put for the time being. That said, maybe we will figure out how to do some form of video to share our various at-home culinary feats. You’ll just have to keep following along to see what happens! :)

Thank you all!! Overwhelmed with silly joy to know everyone would like to see more of Athens. She’s always around, trying to get into the videos, but we try to move her away. Now, knowing most people wouldn’t mind a little more cute in their lives, we will have her poke her head in more often! She’s not too shy in front of the camera! :)

And corn salsa wins by one vote!! I was really impressed by the voting on this one as it was nearly tied the entire time! But right at the end, corn salsa and feta squeaked ahead with just a single extra vote to get the win. Now, as someone who has eaten both choices, I must say that both are delicious in their own right. And I have a hard time deciding which to eat, and finish, first when I enjoy it. But! They are both delicious and a fun way to enjoy the classic avocado toast, but majorly enhanced. If I had to pick one right this moment.... I have to say I’d pick.... 😬😬 Both!

This poll was a slight unfair, don’t you think? Of course, the majority of us use the Internet to find new recipes, food plans, and inspiration of all kinds. I mean, isn’t that one of the draws of Instagram altogether? Finding inspiration for whatever you may need at that moment? However, I was so glad to see most of you that voted still go for the mix. Because that’s what I do, too. I love books, cookbooks, book stores, all of it. In fact, on my very first date with Seth, we wandered around our (now) favorite local bookshop! And we even looked at cookbooks! Wow. If we only knew back then what we would be doing today...   I find loads of recipes and food inspiration online, but lately I’m finding it fun to collect mass amounts of cookbooks and actually sit down to read them. Away from my computer and phone. And iPad. And that’s how we meal plan for the week! I love seeing new ideas and dishes online, but for right now, I’m sticking to books. Let me know if you’d like to learn about some of my favorites!

Turns out we all enjoy raw tuna! Glad to see this side won pretty heartily although there were a few of you that aren’t in the mood for this sort of fish in general. Totally fine! It took me a long time to even consider trying it, but Seth encouraged me to try tuna in all its raw glory, a few years ago and I never looked back. I really enjoy it in many forms, but especially in this salad or as a spicy tuna roll when we get sushi. Delicious!

Thank you for your input! I always like to know how everyone is feeling about new blog content, especially this new series. I saw the majority swing back and forth throughout the day, but I’m not too surprised that sweets pulled ahead at the end with a solid lead. The first month will be a savory-focused item, but fear not! I am strongly considering alternating between the two options. So in that case, February would feature a sweet! Just in time for Valentines Day! :) Time flies...
