Here are the results of the week’s polls! Most recent is at the top.
Since both of these options were essentially, “yes!” I could say everyone won! And that’s my plan because who wouldn’t want these roasted potatoes?! Or potatoes in general, honestly. This dish was one of the side orders we had while in Vegas at a spot we actually went to on three separate occasions! If something works, stick to it, since finding GF food was not difficult, but I never took it for granted. This restaurant, plus everywhere else we ate, will be in the newest Bar Bites section, which is being released really soon!
And while every adventure is fun, by the time Saturday rolled around, we were ready to come home and have one of our favorite food groups: tacos. No joke! We landed Saturday afternoon and promptly went out for tacos at our go-to spot for a delicious taste of Home. Seeing and experiencing new places is quickly becoming a favored pastime, but nothing could ever replace to joy of relaxing at home. With tacos. Lots and lots of tacos. :)
Hah! I was wondering how many of you thought we knew where we were going - don’t worry! We had a plan! On Friday of our trip, we ventured to California! Seeing Badlands National Park was incredible and we loved how massive, and quietly beautiful this area turned out to be. If you’ve been there, I’m so glad we can all share in this awesome experience! If you haven’t been there yet, then go!! It was amazing, surreal, and truly great to see a part of this country that’s so different than where we call Home. I cannot wait to continue exploring areas outside of the Northeast corner of this country. So much more to see!
Here’s to seeing as much as possible when you’re away from home! One of my favorite parts of our. Vegas week was spending two days, one at the beginning and one at end, renting a car and getting away from the city. Seeing Las Vegas had its own charm of sorts, but we were psyched to get away from the lights and go on our own adventures and see some of the nature in this part of the country. Well worth it!
This was a close one! I find that optimal omelette ingredients is directly proportional to the other items on your plate. Having a side of toast? Add in extra veggies. Having a feast with bacon, fruit, and maybe even a sweet treat? Then a couple key additions would be enough. However, with any egg-fan, I think it’s personal preference, and how much egg you really want to enjoy amidst the filling. My orders lately include 3-4 veggies plus occasional cheese. What’s on the side? GF toast, of course. ;)
Hooray for rice noodles! I thought the majority would select that side, but you never really know! Now that we can easily get rice noodles to incorporate into dinners, I think we will be doing so much more often! A great alternative to rice when making any number of stir-fries and other meals, they are excellent in that they absorb the flavors of whatever sauce is made for the dish. So scrumptious! And naturally gluten free. A win for everyone!
I’m glad this group can differentiate between fact and fiction, especially when it comes to very life-like animals! Yes, this was a fake dog, but it looked absurdly realistic and well-behaved. ;) More to come on these awesome creatures, which were part of a Chinese New Year display celebrating Year of the Dog. Very cool!
