A Fresh Face: Six Products to Re-Order

A couple weeks ago a very kind friend sent me a note to say that my skin was glowing and looking great (I paraphrase). I thanked her profusely because at the time I was feeling pretty much the opposite about my skin and was somewhat frustrated with my skincare routine.

On the bright side, my frustration was clearly hidden well since I was “glowing” to those who see me on the Internet. Essentially, even if you don’t feel like you’re putting your “best face” forward, others may not even notice.

With those kind words, I decided it could be helpful to share six products I’m using consistently and will be re-ordered as soon as necessary. I’m not a skincare expert, but I’ve been taking the time to find products that seem to work well for me. I hope this list is helpful for you, too.

In regard to skin type, mine is extremely dry, somewhat sensitive, prone to psoriasis and eczema, and my cheeks are naturally very red so I have built-in “blush.” If any of this rings true for you, then read along for six products I’m using daily.

Skincare is important and it’s an area I’m willing to invest in for the long haul. You can’t replace your skin! It’s a good idea to take care of it to the best of your ability.

Note: Speak with a board-certified dermatologist for specific skin condition concerns. I need to make an appointment to see mine again soon.

Six Products i plan to re-order

SkinCeuticals Toner - I use the Conditioning Toner morning and night before all of my other products. I suppose it’s a “prep” step which I’ve heard is good for your skin. I like that the ones from this brand don’t dry out or irritate my skin.

BeautyCounter CounterTime Tripeptide Radiance Serum - I use this every evening and sometimes in the morning. I’m assuming it’s helping my glow and keeps me young. Ha!

Vitamin C Serum - I use vitamin C serum daily and have tried the ones from BeautyCounter and Summer Fridays. Both were pretty good (I liked the BeautyCounter one more). Next up, I will be ordering from either SkinCeuticals or BeautyRX as I haven’t found my favorite yet.

Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream - I used up the free sample and am just about to order the full-size version. I loved layering this under my daytime moisturizer for extra help during the wicked dry winter days. It feels so nice and the scent is minimal.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 - This is my daytime moisturizer and I do keep a nighttime one from the same brand. I like that this has SPF in it and has the faintest, light scent. It blends in well and works with the minimal makeup I add on top.

Ursa Major Golden Hour Recovery Cream - I primarily use this delightful cream at night after I use a mask or when I use the BeautyCounter Overnight Resurfacing Peel. It’s lightweight, has minimal scent, and feels great on my skin.

Bonus!

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 - Apply it every single day. No matter what.

BeautyCounter Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel - I use this a few times each week. I think it helps keep my skin even and helps to manage it’s overall appearance (AKA I assume it’s helping the glow).

Ursa Major Bright & Easy 3-Minute Flash Mask - I use this once a week, sometimes twice, as a quick and effective mask that helps my skin without irritating it. It goes on smooth and there is no visible exfoliant. It smells earthy and only needs to be left on for a few minutes. Perfect!

Necessaire Body Lotion - my go-to lotion for my super-dry skin. It just works!

Necessaire Hand Cream - incredible hand cream that I keep with me at all times. It’s unscented and works so well.

Enjoy!
